The Walker Course at Clemson University

Furman University Golf Club

The Furman University Golf Club closed May 2008 for a major renovation of all 18 greensites, bunkers, and six new tee boxes.

The course re-opened October 2008 to high praise, resulting in The South Caroloina Golf Course Ratings Panel voting the course to its "Top 30 You Can Play" list.

The new design is a Donald Ross style that follows the flow of the beautiful land. The renovation produced a first-class course that is playable for the average golfer, but challenging for the low handicapper.

The Walker Course at Clemson University

The 18-hole championship John E. Walker Sr. Golf Course, designed by DJ DeVictor, serves as home for the Clemson University 2003 NCAA national champion golf team. The Walker Course is the only one of two upstate golf courses to be listed in the 30 Best Public Courses You Can Play in South Carolina, as voted by the South Carolina Golf Panel.

Designed to accommodate golfers of all skill levels, the course measures 6,911 yards in length from the Tiger Tees and a very playable 5,934 yards from the white tees. The last five holes, including the signature Tiger Paw 17th hole, run along the shores of Lake Hartwell and offer one of the most spectacular collection of finishing holes in the Southeast.
