For the past two decades, the South Carolina Golf Course Ratings Panel has been promoting golf in our state and recognizing the outstanding courses across South Carolina.

To further our mission and enhance our impact, we are undergoing a transformation. Our panel is now known as the South Carolina Golf Course Rankings Panel, a name that better reflects our purpose: identifying and celebrating the top courses in the state. Importantly, we want to dispel any misconceptions about our role in providing slope and difficulty ratings.

After 20 years of leadership, Michael Whitaker, our executive director, has retired. In his place, we've established a new seven-member board and appointed two regional managers for each area of the state. These regional managers will serve as the primary points of contact for panel members and will coordinate group outings within their respective regions.
